FIELD: organic chemistry, chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the novel method of synthesis of isoxazolidinedione compound of the formula (II) where R means optionally substituted aromatic hydrocarbon group or its salt by interaction of compound of the formula (1) or its salt with compound of the formula (2) in the presence of inorganic base in an aqueous solvent to yield aspartate compound of the formula (3) . The latter interacts with acetic anhydride in the presence of dimethylaminopyridine as a catalyst and a base followed by heating for decarboxylation to yield compound of the formula (4) . Then p- toluenesulfonic acid is added to compound (4) to synthesize oxazolylacetate derivative of the formula (5) that is reduced further with tetrahydrofuran in the presence of NaBH4 and methanol to oxazolylethanol derivative of the formula (6) followed by further its interaction with mesylchloride in the presence of triethylamine to yield methanesulfonate derivative of the formula (7) and the latter interacts with compound of the formula (8) in the presence of potassium carbonate to yield benzylidene derivative of the formula (9) and the latter is reduced in hydrogen atmosphere to yield derivative of malonic acid of the formula (10) which then interacts with hydroxylamine in the presence of a base to yield compound of the formula (II).
