HOPPER-BATCHER Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: railway transport. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to device for construction and repair of track and transportation of ballast. Proposed hopper-batcher has frame I resting on bogies, bin 3 with inner and outer discharge hatches mounted on frame and provided with covers 5 and 6, ballast batcher 2 installed in lower part of frame for re-adjustment in height by means of drive. Covers are made single-jaw and are secured on shafts 7 connected with pneumatic cylinders 8 by means of levers. Shafts are arranged along hopper-batcher inside bin and are secured on bin walls by means of spherical bearings. Cove4rs are installed for turning across hopper-batcher by means of above-indicated shafts. Each cover consists of shell in form part of cylinder pointed downwards by its convex surface and two brushes in upper part of which bushings with key slots for connection with shaft 7 are installed.
