HOPPER-BATCHER Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: railway transport. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to design of hopper-batcher for metered delivery of ballast at construction, repair and maintenance of tracks and it can be used in cars for carrying loose loads. Proposed hopper-batcher contains frame resting on bogie and hopper 1 mounted on frame and provided with discharge hatches closed by turnable covers 3 secured on shaft 4, and ballast batcher 2 consisting of interconnected side and cross beams and installed in lower part of frame for changing the height by drive. Limiting screens 5 are secured on beams of batcher to overlap lower edges of discharge hatches, upper edges of screens being higher than lower edges of discharge hatch opening, and lower edges of limiting screens are in one plane with lower plane of batcher cross beam. Covers of discharge hatches are installed inside hopper higher than discharge hatch opening on drive shafts secured on walls of hopper. Limiting belts are secured on inner surface of hopper walls in place of cover mounting. EFFECT: improved accuracy, simplified design. 3 cl, 4 dwg
