FIELD: mechanical engineering, in particular, equipment for separating dust or soil from rotating air in cyclone-type dust catcher of vacuum cleaner.

SUBSTANCE: grid unit is positioned in air discharge channel inside cyclone-type dust catcher casing and adapted for separating dust and foreign matter from garbage-containing air. Grid unit has grid casing equipped with air opening extending through lower grid part, dust-proof unit detachably positioned on grid unit in air opening, and attachment unit for detachable attachment of dust-proof unit to grid unit. Grid unit has grid part holder part fixed in air opening, conical grid part and cylindrical grid part with air opening extending through lower grid part, with said parts being made as single part. Dust-proof part has connecting member joined to cylindrical grid part through air opening and equipped with plurality of orifices separated from one another by ribbed member and connected to air opening, and dust-proof plate made integral with lower part of connecting member. Dust-proof plate is spaced from connecting member. Since air exits via air opening extending through lower part of grid unit, dust and foreign matter partly adhere to zone around air opening. User can easily remove dust and foreign matter from dust-proof unit by simply detaching dust-proof unit from grid unit.

EFFECT: increased efficiency by easy removal of dust or foreign matter from grid unit and convenient usage of vacuum cleaner.
