TEST BED TO DETERMINE PRESSURE IN BOSOMS OF STAGE OF CENTRIFUGAL PUMP Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: hydraulic engineering, laboratory testing equipment. SUBSTANCE: proposed test bed is specifically related to devices measuring pressure profiles in bosoms of impeller of centrifugal pump. Test bed includes chamber of stage of centrifugal plant housing impeller, guiding vanes and covers with discharge tubes to measure pressure which communicate with bosoms. Test bed also has measurement devices, valves, vessels, electric motor and couplings. Specific feature of test bed is making of cylindrical cuts in walls of guiding vanes. Discs with longitudinal and radial conduits communicating space of bosoms to manometers are mounted in cuts for turn around axis. With turn of discs around axis there appears capability to record pressure in bosoms from periphery of impeller to its hub in small cuts of length. EFFECT: authentic picture of pressure profiles in bosoms of impeller and reduced labor input to conduct given operation. 2 dwg
