FIELD: hydraulic machine manufacture, laboratory-testing machinery. SUBSTANCE: invention specifically refers to gears intended for investigation and de-bugging of unloading discs of centrifugal pumps operating under condition of friction of boundary lubrication like in face seals. Bed testing bearings reacting to axial force has testing chamber including body, covers, shaft with face seals on ends, electric motor, device measuring frictional torque, hydraulic pump with tank and instrumentation. Ends of shaft protrude beyond limits of covers of testing chamber. Shaft is fitted with hydraulic cylinder which rod is linked to one end of shaft through clutch in which thrust rolling-contact bearing is installed, the other end of shaft is connected in turn through elastic coupling either to facility measuring frictional torque put on lateral guides with reference to axis of testing chamber or to electric motor placed on longitudinal guides. Half-coupling of elastic coupling is mounted for longitudinal movement. Body of hydraulic cylinder is made fast to body of testing chamber. Bed is equipped with gravitational pump positioned vertically on which rod set of balance weights is hung, with hand-operated pump with tank hydraulically communicating with space of gravitational pump and space of hydraulic cylinder through valves and with manometer registering axial force acting on tested thrust bearing. Bed enables running-in of tested units to be conducted with adherence to standard conditions.
