FIELD: filters utilized in purification of drinking water at home. SUBSTANCE: proposed gear determining service life of module of filter includes indication mechanism comprising absorbing and converting elements and indication element located in single package. In agreement with invention inclination angle of absorbing element is limited while filter is tilted towards discharge of purified water and indication element can register extreme angular position of absorbing and converting elements at moment of discharge of purified water from discharge element of filter vessel. Proposed gear is characterized by increased measurement accuracy and operational reliability which are achieved by design of indication mechanism that secures its selective sensitivity to inclination.
