POLISHING METHOD Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: machine engineering, namely finish abrasive treatment of machine parts. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of imparting lengthwise feed to part; treating it by means of discs of grinding clothes mounted on mandrel and inclined relative to their rotation axis; impregnating discs with bakelite varnish in order to increase their rigidity; applying onto working surface of discs lubricating and cooling technological fluid containing free abrasive whose characteristic corresponds to that of abrasive of grinding cloth; rigidly connecting discs one with another by their non-working surfaces; simultaneously imparting reciprocation motion to part being in continuous contact with tool. It allows to perform polishing during doubled stroke of part at intensive different -sign action of tool and without shock contact of abrasive grains.
