FIELD: petrochemical processes. SUBSTANCE: processing petroleum distillates into gasoline fraction with end boiling point no higher than 195 C and octane number no lower than 80 (motor method) consists in converting hydrocarbon feedstock in presence of porous catalyst at 250 to 500 C, pressure not superior to 2 MPa, and weight rate of hydrocarbon mix no higher than 10h-1. As feedstock, petroleum distillates with end boiling points 200 to 400 C are used and, as catalyst, either aluminosilicate zeolite with silica-to-alumina molar ratio up to 450 selected from series: ZSM-5, ZSM-11, ZSM-35, ZSM-38, ZSM-48, BETA, or gallosilicate, galloaluminosilicate, ferrisilicate, ferrialuminosilicate, chromosilicate, chromoaluminosilicate with structure ZSM-5, ZSM-11, ZSM-35, ZSM-38, ZSM-48, BETA, or aluminophosphate with structure of the type of AlPO- 5, AlPO-11, AlPO-31, AlPO-41, AlPO-36, AlPO-37, AlPO-40, into which structure, an element is incorporated in the synthesis stage selected from series: magnesium, zinc, gallium, manganese, iron, silicon, cobalt, cadmium. EFFECT: simplified technology and increased yields of desired products. 12 cl, 21 ex
