FIELD: petrochemical processes. SUBSTANCE: processing of methane to yield of hydrocarbons with more than 1 carbon atoms is conducted by way of adding to methane hydrocarbon material with more than 1 carbon atoms, in particular unsaturated C2-C4-hydrocarbons or wide spectrum of hydrocarbon fractions boiling off up to 560 C, in amounts of at least 5% of the total amount of hydrocarbon material fed into reactors' system. Reaction is conducted on supported catalyst containing at least 3 wt % acid component and at least 0.1 wt % hydrogenation component. Acid component can be amorphous aluminosilicate, synthetic silicon-aluminosilicate, or zeolite. Hydrogenation component can be VIII group metal, VIII and VIA group metal alloys, II-IV group oxide(s), or VI and VIII group sulfides.
