FIELD: mechanical engineering, grinding of difficult to work material, particularly, on surface grinding machines, NC machines, machines for finishing operations. SUBSTANCE: two grinding wheels are mounted to the coaxial shafts rotating in opposite direction. The workpiece is imparted in reciprocal motion relative the wheels. The wheels are assembled. Each wheel consist of abrasive and nonabrasive parts. The abrasive part is in shape of trancated cylinder. End faces of the cylinders form angle α with the plane perpendicular to the axis of rotation. The nonabrasive part are made of nonabrasive mass containing surface-active substances relative the treating material.
