FIELD: in-feed grinding of hard-to-work materials in conditions of batch production. SUBSTANCE: abrasive tool includes two grinding wheels with the same diameters. Both wheels are mounted on coaxial hollow and central shafts with possibility of rotation in opposite directions and feed motion. In order to provide sign-variable deformations in ground layer, tool includes two disc chucks. Central shaft has spheric neck portion. Wheels are mounted on shafts with inclination angle α relative to plane normal to rotation axis. First grinding wheel is rigidly secured to hollow shaft of disc chuck in the form of end cam mechanism for oscillating second wheel. Said disc chuck is engaged with disc chuck supporting second wheel with possibility of oscillation depending upon oscillation of first wheel. Disc chuck of second wheel is jointly coupled with spheric neck portion of central shaft. Wheel has height B2, spheric outer surface with diameter Dsp and it is arranged symmetrically relative to center of sphere of neck portion of central shaft. Maximum angle of its inclination depends upon values B2 and Dsp. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of grinding at the same high quality of article. 5 dwg
