FIELD: mechanical engineering, grinding of difficult to work material, particularly, on surface grinding machines, NC machines, machines for finishing operations. SUBSTANCE: two grinding wheels are mounted to the coaxial shafts rotating in opposite direction. The workpiece is imparted in reciprocal motion relative the wheels. The wheels are mounted with an angle of α to the plane perpendicular to the axis of rotation for oscillation of cutting zone. Internal end faces of the wheel form angle of 2α.
