FIELD: medicine, biochemistry, organic chemistry. SUBSTANCE: invention proposes a method of inhibition of activity of steroid sulfatase in subject that involves administration of the compound comprising of the ring system and sulfamate group of the formula: where each of R1 and R2 is taken independently among hydrogen atom, alkyl, alkenyl, cycloalkyl and aryl; or R1 and R2 in common mean alkylene optionally containing one or more heteroatoms or groups in alkylene chain. The compound under condition of substitution of sulfamate group for sulfate one and incubation with an enzyme steroid sulfatase (EC 3.1.6.2) at pH 7.4 and 37 C provides inhibition of activity of this enzyme with value K less 50 mcM.
