Masking signal maximum intensity distinguished by no changes in masking signal threshold is determined. Acoustic amplification degree of the hearing aid device is determined in low frequency bandwidth as difference between the masking signal maximum intensity and mean speech spectrum level intensity value at the corresponding frequency.
