METHOD OF DETERMINING OPTIMAL PARAMETRES OF HEARING AID Russian patent published in 2011 - IPC A61B5/484 A61B5/12

Abstract RU 2414168 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to otolaryngology-audiology. Registration of induced auditory response of brain to sound stimulus, supplied via patient's hearing aid when parametres of hearing aid amplification change, is carried out. As sound stimulus, pure tones with frequencies 250 Hz, 500 Hz, 1000 Hz, 2000 Hz, 4000 Hz and 8000 Hz are used with level of sound pressure being 40 dB with respect to normal threshold of hearing, supplied simultaneously in the following way: 79 times per second for 250 Hz, 82 times per second for 500 Hz, 84 times per second for 1000 Hz, 86 times per second for 2000 Hz, 76 times per second for 4000 Hz and 94 times per second for 8000 Hz. Optimal parametre of hearing aid adjustment is considered auditory response of brain registered when stimulated by each above specified pure tone.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to increase accuracy of hearing aid adjustment.
