FIELD: electrothermics. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has burden melting chamber equipped with charging and discharge device formed as spout arranged above blowing chamber inlet end, melt overheating chamber whose inlet is joined to spout of burden melting chamber and outlet is connected to blowing chamber inlet end. Overheating chamber is made in the form of tube manufactured from current-conductive material and is equipped with guides manufactured from current-conductive material. Tube and guides are provided with terminals for connecting to power source. Apparatus is used for melting high-melting oxides such as basalt oxides in heat-insulating material production lines. EFFECT: increased temperature of melt, increased efficiency, reduced power consumption and improved operating conditions. 1 dwg
