FIELD: pyrometallurgy, in particular, recovery of noble metals from their semiproducts. SUBSTANCE: method is characterized by the fact that reaction volume (furnace bath) is formed with the help of refreshable slag based on melt of sodium carbonate, then silver chloride is charged and smelting is carried out in the presence of carbonic reducing agent under ore-thermal conditions at temperature of 950-1150 C. Formed silver is withdrawn from furnace bottom together with a part of slag. Then a new portion of sodium carbonate and a new portion of silver chloride are charged into melt. EFFECT: improved process intensification and higher degree of silver recovery.
