FIELD: electrical engineering; face-type induction machines with one stator and one rotor.

SUBSTANCE: face-type induction machine has stator that carries field winding and annular magnetic core of squirrel-cage rotor with air gap in-between. In addition machine has supporting sleeve, shaft, bearing assembly incorporating rotor shaft bearings and journal bearing designed to take radial and axial thrusts, respectively, as well as control gear. Novelty is that magnetic cores of stator and rotor mount posts in the form of multipoint stars of which one star on stator end is rigidly fixed with supporting sleeve and other one on rotor end is fixed with rotor disk.

EFFECT: compact design, reduced mass and size, facilitated manufacture, improved cooling conditions of machine.
