FIELD: wood-working machines. SUBSTANCE: the thrust gear in the belt saw unit is made in the form of two conveyers with tongues spring-loaded in bushes for engagement with the log end faces. The tongues are fastened on the traction members of the conveyers and positioned together with the logs in the clearance axis of the coupled belt saw mechanisms providing for sawing along the axis of the logs in parallel with the clearance axis. EFFECT: reduced power consumption for sawing and enhanced quality of sawing. 5 dwg
