METHOD FOR DIFFERENTIAL DIAGNOSTICS OF DIPHTHERIA, ANGINA AND INFECTIOUS MONONUCLEOSIS Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: blood serum is taken as an object of testing, its sample is prepared by drying, dry residue obtained is introduced into Vaseline oil followed by preparing a suspension and registering the absorption spectrum of a sample within 1200-1000 cm^-1. The data obtained should be studied mathematically. Diagnostics of diphtheria (localized and toxic) and infectious mononucleosis is carried out. The method provides higher accuracy of diagnostics up to 95%. It needs no additional material and time expenses. EFFECT: higher efficiency of diagnostics of above- mentioned diseases.
