FIELD: ballistics, measurement of velocity of ballistic objects, conducting ( metal ) bullets of firearms, in particular. SUBSTANCE: procedure can be used in criminal examination and in tests of designed weapons. Procedure measuring velocity of conducting bullet includes registration of moments of flight by bullet of two points in space located at established distance one from another. Registration of moments of flight by bullet of established points in space is carried out by registration of pulses of induced current emerging in metal plates with round holes when electrically charged bullet flies through planes of plates. Induced current is measured in circuit of grounded plates and electric charge is provided to bullet by supply to weapon of voltage relative to ground and by installation of grounded metal tube insulated from weapon on barrel. EFFECT: simplified procedure of velocity measurement. 1 dwg
