METHOD FOR EVALUATING PATIENT STATE IN THE CASES OF POLYORGANIC INSUFFICIENCY Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves applying ranks system determining radical changes of patient state as transition from one state into another one like transition from decompensation state into subcompensation state or vice versa that results in total rank change. The system has parameters divided into groups determining state of ten main organism organs and systems like thermoregulation, cardiovascular system, respiratory system, kidney, metabolism, liver, coagulopathy, intoxication, central nervous system and gastroenteric tract. Each system is characterized by one of four states as norm, compensation, subcompensation or decompensation. Objective criteria distinguishing each of the states vary and are determined by diagnostic equipment of given medical institution. The general estimation of patient condition is determined from a formula 100X + 10Y + 1Z + 0N points, where X is the number of decompensated systems, Y is the number of subcompensated systems, Z is the number of compensated systems and N is the number of systems which parameters are in norm. System for estimating patient condition is shown in a table. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness in evaluating state of each system and follow dynamic of changes in patient state condition. 3 tbl
