FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves selecting eight syndromes describing all patient states on the basis of a set of information criteria, requiring intensive therapy to be administered. The syndromes are acute cardiovascular insufficiency, acute respiratory insufficiency, infectious inflammation syndrome, acute renal insufficiency, acute cerebral insufficiency and postoperative syndrome of III-IV surgical anesthesiological risk degree patients. One predominant pathologic syndrome is selected that determines patient state severity degree at the current time. Appropriate set of diagnostic, monitoring and therapeutic measures are to be administered. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness in reliably determining disease responsible of patient state severity.
