FIELD: transport engineering; steering gears. SUBSTANCE: steering mechanism servodrive has DC motor, pickup of torque applied by driver to steering wheel, car speed transmitter, electric motor current sensor and regulator. To improve control and simplify control circuit, torque control is made in form of proportional-integral differential control device whose gain factors depend on car driving speed, and current regulator is of relay type on basis of comparator whose width of loop of hysteresis is proportional to preset value of electric motor current.
