FIELD: transport engineering in a mountain restricted area, applicable as a protection of railways and motor roads, industrial objects, settlements against geological processes, as an element of grade-crossing elimination structure, as an intermediate link between a tunnel and a bridge at construction of roads in two grades. SUBSTANCE: protective structure comprises a gallery of arch-type corrugated constructions resting on reinforced-concrete supports and a shock-absorbing fill. The novelty is in the fact that the structure has relieving walls of layers of reinforced packed soil of permanent thickness - 0.5 m, variable width widening with getting far from the gallery end section turning into the shock-absorbing fill adjoining the gallery roof, smoothly conjugating the slope at a grade of at least 1:2, metal anchors are laid on the surface of each reinforced soil layer. EFFECT: reduced specific quantity of metal per structure and labour content for erection of the structure at the required strength, stability and durability at a high seismicity of permanently frozen soils in restricted mountain areas. 6 cl, 4 dwg
