FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: barrier to protect objects against rockfalls comprises masonry in the form of blocks from polymer PHP laid in layers, which form an isosceles trapezoid in the vertical cross section with the angle of inclination α of sides in respect to the vertical line, selected from the range of 30°≤α≤85°. Blocks are laid with a shift in direction to the central axis of the trapezoid and with formation of inner cavities filled with coarse grained sand or stones. A solid block for the entire width of the trapezoid is laid at every four or less layers. Inner PHP cells are filled with crushed stone or coarse grained sand, and outer ones - with soil of the soil layer or vegetation. The system of objects protection against rockfalls includes the described protective barrier, a cover net, fixed by anchors on the slope, and a vertical latticed barrier fixed on the soil in front of the protective barrier.
EFFECT: increased aseismic stability, resistance of erosion, resistance to external loads, increased mechanical strength of a structure, lower labour intensiveness of works during assembly and reduced consumption of construction materials.
