FIELD: mechanical engineering; vibration isolators for internal combustion engines and other machines and mechanisms. SUBSTANCE: vibration isolator consists of two support plates and arc-shaped lengths of steel wire ropes. Outer and inner pressure strips are fitted on edges of one of plates. Lengths of steel wire ropes are assembled into two groups opposite to each other at angle of 30-70 deg to vertical axis of vibration isolator being either tightly fitted to each other or arranged with clearance not exceeding half of wire rope diameter. EFFECT: increased load- carrying capacity, reduced overall dimensions and mass of vibration isolator. 5 dwg
