FIELD: mechanical engineering; vibration isolators for engine and other machines and sets. SUBSTANCE: vibration isolator has flexible member made of curved sections (length) of steel wire ropes, and support plates with means for laying, bracing and fastening of wire rope ends on support plates. Curved lengths of wire rope are laid lengthwise the strips in cross plane in tight contact, and their curvature is pointed either outwards, with each coil of wire rope length laid to circumference, or to ellipse, or inwards with each coil of wire rope length being laid to hyperbola or parabola.
