FIELD: mineral resource utilization.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to manners of utilizing mineral resources and provides a method for utilizing liquid phase of hydrothermal heat carrier to obtain aqueous silica hydrosol. To that end, hydrothermal solution is subjected to ageing to complete nucleation and polymerization of orthosilicic acid and to form colloidal silica particles. After ageing, metal cations are added to solution to coarsen silica particles. Solution is filtered through membrane filter so to obtained filtrate free of colloidal silica and aqueous concentrate of the latter, which is further filtered through membrane filters to obtain aqueous silica hydrosol, wherein content of colloidal silica is superior to its initial content by a factor 2 to 150. Silica hydrosol product may be utilized as starting material in a series of industry fields, in particular in production of catalysts and zeolites. Cleaned filtrate is employed to generate electrical and heat power.
