FIELD: chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: method involves feeding ethyl alcohol to upper part of distillation column and heating steam to a bottom part, addition of water to a lower part of feeding ethyl alcohol head fraction for its distillation, removal of head fraction concentrate as methyl alcohol distillate in mixture with ethers and aldehydes. Additional removal of head fraction is carried out from the zone disposed over water feeding zone directly. Aqueous-spirituous liquid is removed from a bottom part of column as a vat product. Water feeding is carried out to a bottom zone of distillation. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of purification of ethyl alcohol head fraction from impurities. 1 dwg
