FIELD: nonferrous metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: preparation of phosphorus-containing copper- and nickel-based alloys involves formation of blend in the form of mixture of powders of oxygen-containing phosphorus compound, reduction reagent, alloy-forming metal and its oxide, local heating of blend to its inflammation temperature accompanied by melting of alloy-forming metal, reduction reagent- mediated reduction of phosphorus from its oxygen-containing compound and dissolution of phosphorus in alloy-forming metal, and refiner-assisted refining of alloy to remove impurities. According to invention, refiner is formed from mixture of powders of oxygen-containing phosphorus compound, reduction reagent, alloy-forming metal oxide in amounts proportional to quantity of impurities to be removed, which have higher oxygen affinity than phosphorus and alloy- forming metal. Refiner is placed under blend layer. Reduction reagent and alloy-forming metal oxide of the refiner are taken in stoichiometric proportions and ratio of summary amount of reduction reagent and alloy-forming metal oxide to amount of oxygen-containing phosphorus compound is fixed within the range of 0.8 to 1.3. Alloy-forming metal is copper or nickel, reduction reagent is apatite or phosphorite concentrate, and oxygen-containing phosphorus compound for refiner is taken in amounts at least threefold superior to stoichiometric amount required to remove aluminum, calcium, and silicon impurities.
