FIELD: catalytic reactors. SUBSTANCE: catalytic reactor has substrate formed by winding alternating flat and fluted metal strips forming end-to-end gas flow channels running through substrate in axial direction. Substrate enclosure is made of steel sheet whose thickness is equal to or slightly greater than that of flat and fluted metal strips. EFFECT: enhanced strength, reduced mass, facilitated assembly of enclosure with substrate, extended service life of reactor. 4 cl, 3 dwg
