FIELD: medicine, ophthalmology. SUBSTANCE: method deals with treating ophthalmic diseases accompanied with appearance of vitreoretinal proliferation and traction retinal detachment. A laser vitreotomy is conducted by focusing the ray at the border of anterior and median third, and, also, in posterior departments of a vitreous, and, additionally, in post-operational period the preparations are introduced which provide vitreous dehydration and lower intraocular pressure. The method enables to improve the circulation of intraocular liquid, increase visual functions, induce the detachment of posterior hyaloid membrane and provide resorption of intraocular hemorrhages.
