METHOD FOR STRATIFIED SYNTHESIS OF ARTICLES AND DEVICE FOR ITS REALIZATION Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

Abstract RU 2186681 C2

FIELD: mechanical engineering, in particular, method and device for stratified manufacture of articles and parts of materials yielding to melting. SUBSTANCE: in the method for stratified synthesis of articles with the use of the computer-aided design by scanning in the X-Y plane and application of material particles onto the backing at a simultaneous heating and subsequent deformation of particles used as particles is material in the form of microballs that are applied from top to bottom by vibration and heating to a temperature close to the melting point of the microballs and oriented to the backing with the aid of an optical tracking system. The space that is not occupied by particles is filled in layers with microballs of easily melted material, and a "buffer layer" is produced on the boundary separating the part surface from the material being removed by way of sublimation of small microballs from the part material. The device for stratified synthesis of articles has a table with the backing located on it and a control system. It is provided with a feeder for feeding the microballs to the backing, and a matrix controlling the deposition of the microballs on the backing. The feeder is made in the form of a lattice with ducts connected to which is a magazine with cassettes for feeding from them and receiving back of various materials in the form of microballs with the aid of pumps installed at the beginning and end of the feeder. The board for control of the flight of the microballs is installed on the lower side of the feeder. The matrix is made of four plates, installed on the first plate are injection lasers in the form of regularly arranged units, photodiode matrices are installed in the center of the units, focusing lenses with an aperture in the center are positioned above each unit, objective lenses are located in them. Attached to the first plate from below is the cooling plate with the adjusting plate attached to it from below, attached to the adjusting plate from below is the matrix control plate, attached to which is the system of tubes with the radiator and pump. The matrix is installed on a movable base with the aid of a flexible suspension, and the base has drives with feedback transducers for control of matrix scanning, and freely coupled to the four supports of the table. EFFECT: simplified procedure of direct manufacture of articles, part of any materials yielding to melting using the computer-aided design data. 5 cl, 49 dwg
