FIELD: mechanical engineering; materials handling facilities. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to inclined belt conveyors designed for transportation of loads both upwards and downwards. Proposed belt conveyor has endless belt closed on drive and end drums whose carrying run rests on chute roller supports secured on frame, load-type tensioner trucks, and catching device including two steel wire ropes secured on conveyor frame. Wire ropes are freely fitted in clearances between central and side rollers of chute roller supports and are fixed in V-shaped chutes of brackets fastened on roller support bases. One end of each wire rope is secured on frame of drive drum and other end, on drum installed for rotation of truck of tensioner. Lengths of wire ropes wound of drum are less than maximum travel of tensioner truck when conveyor is operating. EFFECT: improved reliability of belt catching with brought to minimum back travel of belt owing to increased braking force. 7 dwg
