FIELD: mechanical engineering; transportation facilities.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to inclined belt conveyors equipped with catching device and it can be used in mines, pits and concentrating plants for transportating loads upwards and downwards. Proposed inclined belt conveyor consists of endless belt closed on drive and tension drums, load-carrying run of which rests on channeled roller supports secured on frame, cars of load-type tension device, catching device including two strands of steel wire rope freely passing in gaps between central and side rollers of channeled roller supports and fixed in V shaped channels of brackets secured on base of roller support. Free end of each strand of wire rope is secured on drum installed for rotation on car of tension device. Both strands of wire rope form loop passed over equalizing sheave secured on frame of drive drum. Invention can be used at any direction of transportation of load, upwards or downwards, with location of driven in upper part of conveyor, and tension device, in lower part.

EFFECT: improved reliability of catching of broken belt at minimization of back travel of belt.
