FIELD: construction of conveyors, in particular, inclined belt conveyors furnished with catching device.

SUBSTANCE: inclined belt conveyor has catching device, belt defining load-bearing run and idle run which is closed in endless manner on upper drive end drum and lower end drum, which are mounted on frames. Lower tension drum is positioned on cart kinematically connected through cables with counterweight and adapted for movement along guiding frame. Catching device consists of two steel wire cable branches which are closed on block fixed for rotation on column pivotally mounted on conveyor base which is kinematically coupled through doubled flexible member to cart of tension drum and adapted for cooperation with stop. Free ends of both cable branches run around deflecting blocks and are fixed on lever positioned between load-bearing and idle runs of belt and equipped with beam, with U-shaped frame with two traverses being secured on beam. Plate is secured above conveyor belt idle run on conveyor frame in spaced relation therewith.

EFFECT: increased efficiency of inclined conveyor owing to the possibility of catching torn belt of conveyor simultaneously on load-bearing and idle runs thereof.
