FIELD: protection of objects against outside shock action under emergency situation. SUBSTANCE: invention is aimed for design of facility protecting constructed object with atomic power plant against outside impact action, for marked reduction of force taken up by protective obstacle and of load transmitted by supporting structures which makes it feasible to diminish mass of both protective obstacle and supporting structures. To achieve this result facility to protect objects with atomic power plant exposed to outside impacts includes supporting structures which presents framework embracing protected object and protective obstacles coming in the form of grid made of cross-woven twisted ropes produced from elastic material anchored on them. Protective obstacles are attached to supporting structures via shock absorbers which summary rigidity in tension is markedly less than rigidity in tension of grid in its plane. Summary rigidity G(t) of shock absorbers is selected time-variable so that in the course of time it rises in process of braking. Value of above-mentioned rigidity and law of its change in time satisfy condition , where T is time of braking; u(t) is displacement of point of attachment of grid to shock absorber in plane of grid; m is mass of impacting body; vy is velocity of body at moment of impact. Shock absorbers are manufactured in the form of interjoined springy members and hydraulic or pneumatic dampers.
