FIELD: optoelectronics. SUBSTANCE: invention is utilized for splitting of component of transverse electric mode and of component of transverse magnetic mode into two output waveguides to combine inputs of component of transverse electric mode and of component of transverse magnetic mode to output optical waveguide. Integrated optical polarization device includes two waveguides made in substrate. First waveguide is designed for simultaneous transmission of two components of modes which polarization is perpendicular. Second waveguide is meant for transmission of one of two components of polarization modes and has combined zone that is located at specified distance and is separated by certain distance from first waveguide and noncombined zone that is so arranged that first and second waveguides are separated by much wider distance than specified distance.
