FIELD: foundry, namely manufacture of parts by centrifugal surfacing. SUBSTANCE: flange for centrifugal surfacing of parts includes cavity for controlling process of charge melting in billet. Said cavity is restricted by two annular ribs and it is communicated with atmosphere at least through one opening. Charge is placed in above mentioned cavity; thickness of charge layer in cavity is equal to thickness of charge layer in surfaced part. Thickness of flange wall separating cavity from atmosphere is equal to thickness of surfaced part. Starting of charge melting in part is determined according to time moment of pouring melt charge out of flange opening. EFFECT: possibility for controlling process of charge melting in part, enhanced quality of surfaced parts, enlarged manufacturing possibilities of centrifugal surfacing process. 1 dwg
