FIELD: purification of sewage waters, mainly, in chemical industry; applicable in purification of sewage waters from toxic, biologically nonoxidizable and with difficult oxidation substances, organochlorine impurities in sewage water, for instance, carbon tetrachloride, trichloropropane, perchloroethylene, chloroform and others. SUBSTANCE: sewage waters containing organochlorine compounds with impurities of general formula C1-C3, where n= 1-4; m=0-9; x=1-6 are subjected to treatment with solution of sodium tetrasulfide where ratio Cl-:Na+ is determined by equation of general form . Reaction is conducted in presence of interphase catalyst in form of benzyltriethylammonium chloride in amount of 0.1 wt.% of sewage water volume and with subsequent mixing of reaction mass with solution - mother liquor of calcium hypochlorite production containing chlorine. In treatment of sewage waters with similar molecules of individual oganochlorine component, in which, at least, two chlorine molecules, relation of ions Cl-:Na+ is determined by formula of general form . Treatment process is carried out at temperature of 20-50 C. As a result of such reaction sulfur-containing polymer solid product is formed of thiocol polysulfide rubber type which is easily separated by simple filtering. Solid sediment may be utilized by burial on solid wastes burying ground or used as sealant after additional modification. EFFECT: provided purification os sewage waters from organochlorine impurities - difficulty oxidizable or not oxidizable biologically locally and directly at plants of separate production, or combined contaminated sewages of association scale to protect natural water basins from harmful impurities. 3 cl, 1 tbl, 9 ex
