FIELD: nonferrous metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: multilayer filter is composed of two layers: layer of ground refractory material-magnesite and modifying layer. According to invention, 25-30 mm thick layer of refractory material particles having diameter of 10-15 mm is positioned on 45-50 mm thick layer of ground lumps having diameter of 7.5-10 mm of alloy of fluorine and chlorine sodium salts with following ratio of components, wt%: sodium fluoride (NaF) 30-40; cryolite (NasAlF6) 15-20; sodium chloride (NaCl) the balance. Filter of such construction allows finely dispersed modified structure to be obtained and removal of nonmetallic inclusions and intermetallic phases to be provided.
