FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention concerns metallurgy field. Particularly it concerns modification methods of foundry aluminium - silicon alloys of hypoeutectic content. Melt of aluminium - silicon alloy of hypoeutectic content is overheated till 950-980°C. Then in it nickel is introduced the capacity of modifying agent in content of ligature aluminium - nickel and melt temperature is decreased till 750°C. Mechanical properties of aluminium - silicon alloys are increased.

EFFECT: increasing of aluminium - silicon alloys mechanical properties.
