FIELD: ecological control. SUBSTANCE: procedure includes taking and preparation of samples with subsequent determination of activity of radio nuclides in samples with measurement of density and thickness of snow cover on each section of sample taking. Characteristic feature of procedure lies in taking samples over regular radial sampling network along 8 bearings at equal distances from source of contaminating effluent and on trace of plume grounding and beyond bounds of sanitary-protection zone. Check samples are taken under similar landscape conditions over flat or slightly convex open sections in populated localities in radius up to 10.0 km. Snow samples are thawed and filtered with determination of content of solid suspensions per unit of sample volume and of activity of radio nuclides in filtered snow water of sample. EFFECT: increased efficiency of radiation monitoring with determination of stock of radio nuclides, determination of peculiarities of agglomeration of snow cover by elements of man-made landscape. 5 cl
