FIELD: monitoring of radioactivity of environment by atmospheric precipitation. SUBSTANCE: radioactivity of atmospheric precipitation is determined for control over local effluents. According to process observation points are established by eight bearings from source of effluents in correspondence with wind rose and their number is defined by peculiarities of terrain where source of effluents exists and by weather conditions. Check point is established outside zone of effluents. Samples of snow are taken once a year prior to start of snowmelt. Not more than an hour is given to take one sample. 1-2 h is spent for preparation of one sample for radiometric test. EFFECT: increased authenticity of samples, simplified test of local effluents. 3 cl
