FIELD: manufacture of reinforcing woven cloth. SUBSTANCE: reinforcing woven cloth for envelope of positive electrode of lead-acid cell can be utilized in design of attendance-free and leak-tight cells. Proposed design of reinforcing woven cloth comprises threads of polythyleneterephtalate warp and yarn of modified polyacrylonitrile. Reinforced woven cloth additionally includes two zones of cloth binding in envelope which are produced from threads of polyethyleneterephtalat. Size of each zone amounts to 0.03-0.15 length of reinforcing woven cloth. Employment of this cloth contributes to strengthening of seam in pocket in which positive electrode is wrapped , protects active mass from melting and prolongs service life of lead-acid cell by 15-20%. EFFECT: prolonged service life of lead-acid cell. 2 dwg, 1 tbl
