FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves carrying out osteotomy and tibia stretching in the middle and lower portion. Then upper and middle portion of the femur and the upper one third of the tibia are subjected to osteotomy. The formed regenerates are fixed. Stretching is carried out at the newly done osteotomy places. Kneepan is selected with the retained defect being 2-3 cm long and adapted to the end face surfaces of the femur and tibia placing the kneepan between them. Compression is applied between the kneepan and femur and tibia surfaces under synostosis. The tibia is stretched in its middle and lower one thirds by 4-5 cm at each level.
