FIELD: processes for making valves of internal combustion engines, namely manufacture of valve seats of powder material. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of mixing charge; molding it under pressure (600-900)MPa; sintering it at high temperature equal to 1150 C; calibrating at aftercompaction according to double-axis deformation mode; performing heat treatment by quenching and tempering. EFFECT: possibility for reducing number of technological operations of annealing, aftercompaction and then turning in lathe along inner diameter at pressing-in valve seat to head of engine.
