FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to powder metallurgy, in particular to the production of products from composite materials with a steel matrix and a filler of refractory compounds. Composite product is produced by grinding and mixing powders of an iron-based matrix and its alloys and filler. Mixture of powders is compacted by pressing, sintered in vacuum with a two-stage heating mode and a controlled heating rate with subsequent annealing. As the filler is used oxynitrides and/or oxycarbonitrides of titanium, and the components of the matrix and filler are taken in a weight ratio of 5:1–2.5:1. After annealing, the material is subjected to heat treatment according to the quenching mode.
EFFECT: proposed method allows to obtain products with uniform high density and hardness while simplifying the process and equipment.
